For an easier setup make sure you add the Keymitt Smart Lock to your Keymitt app before installing it on the door.

Requirements. Before adding your Keymitt Smart Lock,

  • Make sure your smartphone's Bluetooth is turned on in Settings > Bluetooth. It must support Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE or Bluetooth 4.0 or later) to discover Keymitt devices.

  • Make sure your Keymitt Smart Lock is turned on and its LED is blinking BLUE. See Keymitt Smart Lock LED Meaning

Note: Please enable the location service when the app asks for permission. Bluetooth Low Energy is tied to the location service on some platforms.

Pair your Keymitt Smart Lock. Tap on Add a Keymitt device in the menu, tap ‘Smart Lock’, then select your smart lock in the list.

Once selected, your Keymitt’s LED will start blinking in different colors. The color of the LED and the color shown in the app should match, in which case start rotating the knob of your smart lock 180 degrees clockwise and counter clockwise until connected.

Once the pairing is completed, you can proceed with the calibration process or choose to calibrate your smart lock later.

Note: If this process fails, it is usually because the device is connected already and needs resetting. Make sure Keymitt Smart Lock LED is blinking BLUE on power restart before attempting to add it again.

Remove your Keymitt Smart Lock. Tap on the Keymitt Devices in the main menu and enter the proprieties of the smart lock you want to remove. Scroll down and tap the ‘’Remove’’ button.

Note: To successfully remove the smart lock, make sure it is ONLINE first.

Troubleshooting

The Keymitt Smart Lock doesn't appear in the Add Keymitt Device list

Sometimes you might come across a situation when you cannot detect your Keymitt Smart Lock when you try to scan it via the Keymitt App.

  1. Make sure your smartphone supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE or Bluetooth 4.0). To check, you can download a dedicated app such as BLE Checker in the Play Store.

  2. Confirm your smart lock isn't already on the list of devices (even when showing offline) on yours or any other account. Remove it if this is the case.

  3. Your Keymitt smart lock LED must blink blue on power restart in order for it to be scannable. If not, please do a hard reset. To power restart, simply remove put back in the corner battery(s).

  4. Make sure the Keymitt app is up-to-date.

  5. Make sure the 'Location' settings of your smartphone are turned on.
